Does it mean already was tested by someone else or never has been?

On makeup does it mean no animals were made wo wear lipliner and cover-up? I thought I say some guinea pigs at the pet store that had make-overs.

It means that the product you are using wasn't developed with animal testing. Sometimes companies check that their product is safe by testing it on lab animals (e.g., mice) before releasing the product for sale to people.

Unfortunately, that can mean the lab animals might be hurt. So some companies have changed their practices to avoid animal testing and advertise it on their products so you can make an "informed" decision when buying.

it means that the product was not tested on lab animals to see how it will affect them. which in my opinion is cruel anyway. many people will not buy products that have been tested on animals because they know about all the animals that were killed or deformed becuase of animal testing in laboratories.

If its on a lotion bottle it means that they don't put the lotion on animals to test it. The company puts it on there so that all of the environmentalists will like them, because testing on animals is harmful to the animals.

it means that the makers didnt try it on animals so dont use it on them it was made for people to use not animals
