i'm digging all your answer so far.

it should be noted that i once wrote a 30 page paper on this topic while in college.

there is no right or wrong answer. i just want people to see that inorder to love something. you need to like it first.

It's not love if their isn't some like there. Real, honest loving relationships embody real friendships.

Like is just a variation of love, love to a lesser degree of trust and understanding.

And the answer to your second question is yes. You can hate somebody and still love somebody.

Love is an extension in itself. You cannot like something if love doesnt thrive in the premise of your heart and soul.
Like is just a small extension of love.

I think it's possible to love someone without liking him or her. Take a sibling, for instance. Maybe he or she is super mean to you sometimes, and you just want to kick him or her, and you certainly don't want to be friends with him or her, but in the end you know you love your sibling with all your heart.

That makes sense. Love is just really, really, really liking someone. Hn.

love is not something that you get first impression, sometimes love grows from the "like"

I remember my mom telling me once (she was mad at me) that she didn't like me. Now, she also made it a point to let me know that she loves me, and she always will, but she won't always LIKE me.
