I would say ps2, I have a xbox and I gotta say I was disappointed with the games, the only good games for it are Halo, and Halo 2... ya u have to buy a memory card for ps2, but I think ps2, has a better selection of games... I had a used ps2 for 2 yrs. and no problems with it, and just in the spring, I was dumb and sold it to my brother (I miss it very much!)-and it still works quite well...
so I bought an xbox, and just after 2 months, neither one of the 2 controls worked, even the new control, stopped working...

The Xbox. It's very reliable, mine hasn't broken yet. It also comes with a 10 gigabyte hard drive, so you don't have to hassle with memory cards. An added bonus; you can play Halo and Halo 2!!!
They're about the same price, but with the Xbox you get more bang for your buck! It also has Xbox Live, which is 10 times better than PS2's service. It doesn't really cost a lot, just about the same as eating out for lunch!

Xbox has better graphics. They should both be about the same price of 100 dollars. Also depends on your gaming style. If you like a huge online community then Xbox is the one for you!
Even though PS2 has free online play, it's supported by third party companies and it's really crappy service.

You're Funny. XBOX is the best. It came out cheaper than the PS2 and the power, graphics, memory, etc. of the XBOX is a billion times better. Sony is completely disappointing.
TRUE FACT: The XBOX wasn't even used to its full potential.

Xbox is more expensive but it has far better graphics.... I have 3 teenagers in my house and about 15 million neighborhood kids who hang and play PS2 all the time (we have 3 of them in here), and all i hear is We want XBox- they say that the games are much better-more of them and that the graphics do not compare!

PS2 has free online gameplay, it's now at a low price and getting lower thanks to the PS3 and it has way more games than the regular XBOX ever had. Go with the PS2 if you can.

it really depends on the type of games you like
say if you like games such as Halo or other shooters you should get the xbox
but if you like rpgs or action games the ps2 would be a better choice
ive got a ps2 and i think its a lot better than xbox
xbox doesnt have games like devil may cry, final fantasy, and if im not mistaken god of war

my son has the x-box 360 game wise--he loves it (graphics-also a dvd and cd player) ---psp he likes to watch movies and listen to music---so they are used for different things----if your a gamer x-box
