It depends on what you are planning to use the computer for. Mac is usually better for graphic designs but if you are just using it for games and browsing, you would probably be better off with windows.

MAC OSX is far superior. It's so much easier to use. Ever wanted a computer to just work? Or do what you want without any hassle? That's a Mac.
Device installation without having to search for drivers or wait half an hour for plug 'n' play to sort itself out? That's a mac.
Unfortunately not everyone writes software for the mac.
Windows is so inefficient. The registry is the biggest pile of poo ever invented.

It depends - which do you prefer?
Windows is very good for hand-holding, and prides itself on useability. It's the most popular OS, so it's the one that all the games and virii are written for.
OSX is basically BSD with a pretty shell, so it's incredibly stable, and being modular it's easier to change. But it's not so popular, so there's fewer virii and games. It's construction also means it's harder to write effective virii for it.
I don't think either's better until you say what you want it for.

depends what your planning to do.
Windows is much better for gaming, but apple is the number one computer for working. If you buy yourself a mac you get all the working programms such as : iMovie(editing movies) iPhoto (editing photos) iTunes (music library) IDvd(create dvds) garage band( make your own music) and many more....If you buy windows, most of the programms you'll have to buy yourself...So my advice is, If your planning to work with your computer ....buy a mac....
If your planning to play games, buy a windows.
Of course you can work on windows too, but on mac its REALLY easy, better results, no viruses. trust me using mac for working is much better than using windows. By the way Hollywood uses macs and some of their programms to make and edit the movies

windos is for people who like to fix things and are prepared for anything. macs are for lazy people who like to have things handed to them and fixed for them. if you like fixing things get a windows machine. i know my life would be boring as hell if i never had to fix my windows.
