I don't know why they fell apart in the World Series, but I still think they had an unbelievably fantastic season!

I think the race to win the Pennant was so emotional for them, that they just didn't have any more to give in the World Series. It's true that experience in the playoffs really do count (look how many tries it took for the Cardinals to finally win it all).
Go get em next year TIGERS!!!

I am completely and totally overjoyed at the season they had!
In spring training I was hoping for 80-82 wins.
Considering they havent finished above .500 since 1993
and they lost 119 games 3 years ago (2003), the best I was hoping for was .500!
Then they beat the yankees! That was as sweet as actually winning the world series.
yeah, they fell apart in the world series, but you know what?
THEY ARE AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
that is absolutely amazing!

I'm pretty satisfied--they certainly improved a LOT in the last two years. Unfortunately, while their pitchers could PITCH, they just couldn't THROW...if you know what I mean. Look out for next year! They'll be even better then!

I think they lost in the championship in a sport that people care about only because there's nothing else on in the summer.

I'm Glad the Tigers Lost. i mean come on the were playing againts the ST. LOUIS. they should have known we were agressive were the most dangerous city in the U.S
