After you go to start, run, and type in msconfig, you will get a series of tabs. One of these will say "startup". Go to that tab and uncheck the programs you don't want to run at startup. Then click on apply and close.

You will have to restart your computer. After you restart, you will get a message saying that you are using selective startup blah blah. Just click ok or close.
