yes the other lady is right hydrogen peroxide wil do it. My mothers a nurse and she uses hydrogen peroxide to remove blood splatters from her white scrubs. but hopefully u haven't tried anything else because if there are other chemicals on the blood stain hydrogen might not work. i'd say pour the hydrogen right on top just go for it it will fizz/bubble then wipe............ listen if this doesn't work try the bleach pen...... this works on anystain!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot depends on the fabric, but you probably don't have much to loose, you might get out the blood and leave a bleach spot. Yes you can have a bleach spot on white. Don't leave the hydrogen peroxide or bleach on too long or you will have a hole and that is worse. Other options include one of the OXY cleaners, I do believe the original (more expensive) one works the best. Also a good laundry detergent (ERA works great on blood). Wet blood needs cold water for cleaning, hot water will set the stain, dry blood needs hot, or at least very warm.
I found one of those old mother ones in a book that I have never had to try - ammonia. Directions: first wash stain with plain cold water, then with mild dishwashing detergent and cold water. If stain remains, sponge with a solution of 3 tablespoons ammonia in a gallon of cold water. (That would be approx. 3/4 teaspoon per cup of water).
Remember to remove all the solution from one idea before moving on to the next. And when you are finished make sure you get all the peroxide, soap, ammonia or whatever out of your sofa or that area will spot. If you have really bad luck and none of that works get some fabric paint and express yourself (if you don't want to go freehand get a stencil or stamp.) : - }
