It is a good theory that Rowling may kill Harry just to end the series. This, of course, does not always work. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle tried to end the Sherlock Holmes series the same way, and furious readers insisted he revise the detective's death. I understand the desperate hope of ending a story. Especially one such as hers, where she is being rushed to complete something. And pretty much no matter what she does, someone out there will be upset about it. But the problem with killing off Harry is even that doesn't end this. A century from now, her characters will be free public access, and anyone can write and publish anything about Harry they want to. Otherwise known as the horror of being an author.
As for R.A.B., of COURSE it's Regulus Black. There's no one else it could possibly be. She can't exactly introduce a brand-new character in her very last book, can she? To quote Murder By Death, "You've introduced characters in the last five pages that were never in the book before!" People will be upset with her for that too.
So, in conclusion (yeah, yeah, don't impersonate the Hallelujah Chorus on me. So I write a lot!), Rowling probably won't add anyone new, so R.A.B. has to be Sirius's relative. As for what the heck is going to happen in the next book, it's impossible to tell, and I kind of wish people would just chill out until the next book comes out.

I do think that Harry will survive in the end. Of course, J.K. Rowling can end it any way she wants to, as she has said that she writes the books for herself. But, she has basically been telling a story of good versus evil, in which a person's choices determine what happens, so I think Harry will be rewarded for having a good heart (despite the terrible losses and pain he has suffered) by surviving his final duel with Voldemort and going on to have a happy life. The final chapter, which has already been written, will detail what happens to the characters that survive. I'm betting that Harry will get back together with Ginny after ending the threat, which was why they broke up in the first place. I think the Harry is a Horcrux theory is rubbish, and it doesn't work with the prophesy (one must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives). Voldemort could kill Harry or Harry could kill Voldemort, but Harry can't kill Voldemort *and* himself. Why promote suicide anyway? That I can't imagine her doing. I don't have any other guesses as to who R.A.B. could be, since I believe it is Regulus also.

Maybe they both, Voldemort and Harry die. I forget if it said anything about that in the prophecies, but also, prophecies don't always have to completely come true. But if J.K. Rowling truly killed off Harry Potter, then all the kids in the world are gonne cry and that won't go to well.

Let me answer Touma-Tuoma's first: JKRowling doesn't give a fat d**n what her readers/ fans think: She has made her billions and could care less what you think. Look at the last book...what a sell-out! All the hype...all the whoop-de-doo and hullabaloo for the worst written book in the series. It was the work of a writer who has sold out. The characters were acting contrary to how they have acted from the beginning; Killing Dumbledore, who always knew everything going on at Hogwarts, and always knew everything that went on with Harry, is suddenly crippled and killed? Oh, come on! What a farce! Rowlings did not write the Potter stories for, for me, for the Queen of England or the Primate of Unga-Bunga...she wrote it for herself and the cash it was certain to rake in..which is her right, of course. So, let her Kill Harry. She can kill Ron, Hermione, Hagrid and the entire cast of characters for all I care. As a writer myself, and this is only my opinion, I think she sold out and couldn't CARE about her readership.
There...I said it. Thanks for listening...and remember, this was my OPINION! Have a great day!

Well there is a theory that Harry is one of Voldemort's 7 horcruxes....So the only way to kill voldemort could be for him to kill himself.....I'm gonna cry so much!!!!!! He could live..We won't know for def till it is published.....
