I am a High School Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball referee and you need to contact the High School State Athletic As. Then take a open book test,Usually you need to join a Officials As. in your state or city.They will help you with mechanics, and getting jobs at schools.That is a great career desicion I LOVE it and you make good money

Most state associations make you take a test on the rules after you pay your dues and receive the rulebook to study. If you make a high enough grade, you qualify. Also, you must be 18 or older and have no criminal record.
