I like to think of the "struggle" as a sub-category of life. Or if you think it's both, it's a Juggle, a mixture of random situations which result in different outcomes.

Let's put it this way, you can't live your life without struggling, but there are the good times, and a mixture of the struggle and the good make up life's journey.

It kind of depends on the day.
Sometimes it's a struggle to make the journey. Other times it's a journey through a struggle. And then, often it's something completely different!
I'm always surprised when I wake up!

If you live burdened by harsh realities, as most of the population does, it's a struggle. If you are lucky enough not to have to worry about survival, day to day, you can make it a journey.

Life is a journey ... NOT a guided tour. So don't miss the ride and have a great time going around you don't get a second shot at it.

My personal philosophy is that life is here, right now, in the moment, and you should just keep on living it. Do what you want to do and what you can. Love deeply and truly and put your heart into what you do. Life is too short to hold back and too long to ruin it with bad decisions. Maybe in your life you want to be recognized, you want to leave this earth and have people know your name. Maybe you just want to get through your life doing whatever you want to do and not be noticed. Or maybe you want to have a family and live "normally," have a job and graduate from high school and maybe college. Life is totally what you make of it.

It depends on your willingness to go with the flow. The adaptive nature of species to their environment argues that there is a struggle to be had but is not a violent one. One can easily enjoy the experience.
