Do you remember "words and pictures" (from early to mid 80's). it was a schools tv programme used to help educate kids.
i remember it with a board and pencil and would tell you how to write a letter (up, down, round and down etc).
and i recall a witch?
do you remember this? can you remember anything else from it?
Is there anywhere you can get it (would like it for my kids).

Yes I vaguely remember this programme too. I remember the magic pencil and the witch floating about but it didn't leave a lasting impression like Mary, Mungo and Midge or Rentaghost did. Probably 'cos it was educational and I wasn't interested in learning anything in those days. lol

I used to love that!! And it was around in the mid 90s cos I was born in 91 and I used to watch it when I was about 5. I don't remember a witch though...Wasn't it made by the BBC..?

I do remember watching the show whilei was in primary school and loved it especially the magic pencil. Keep thinking of "Wordy" as well but think he was another show, had a quick look for it through google but no dice I'm afraid.

I do remember it. I'm sure there was a character that was shaped like a TV with arms. I used to watch it when we were lucky enough to have lessons that allowed us to watch TV :-).

The only thing that is coming to my head is Picture Pages with Bill Cosby. I've tried finding that on the web but no luck. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

yer i did u used to watch it evey tuesday morning at school. that hand with pencils and lights were fab.

awww i used to watch that!!!! all be it ten years ago but it was awesome!!! i loved going to school purely to watch it!!!
