This question actually depends on the level of local anesthetic and your general tolerance for pain. As a rule, no, because most fillings dont really go into the root of the tooth, but occasionally there wont be enough local anesthetic so you may feel a dull pain, but even that isn't bad usually unless it is for a root canal. Then you hope the Dr. KNOWS what he'd doing.

No it doesn't hurt. They xray then put a swab in your mouth that has something that will numb your gum. Then they give you a shot. Then they drill it. It may be sore the next day just a tiny bit but it isn't painful. If you can't take pain tell your dentist. Most work with children and have ways of doing things without pain. The shot is so fast that you don't even notice.

If the dentist is doing it right, it should not hurt. However you may feel a little pressure. You should also be getting some freezing to numb the pain

Depends on two factors :
1.Which cavity you want to get filled !
2.Expertise of the filler !!

Well, they drill a hole in your tooth, after giving you a good dose of novacaine to dull the pain, but when that novacaine wears off, it's gonna feel like somebody took a jackhammer to your whole mouth. Just to let you know.

Just a little, it depends on the dentist. Nothing most people can'f handle. Trust me it hurts less then if you don't get it taken care of and the tooth really hurts. good luck
