im taking it that your a guy so i think that you should just talk to her online or on the phone and get to the subject about who you like, and then like narrow it down and then just tell her that u like her, and if she doesnt like you back then just say "ok well i just thought it would be worth a try" and then if shes still not ok with it then just go back to normal and act normal around her and make sure not to act akward when you guys first meet...this happened to me i told this guy that i liked him more than a friend and we have known eachother for a long time and then he was just like "it would be werid if we went out becase were to good of friends" i was like depressed and then wen we saw eachother for the first time we didnt even talk and it was SO akward and today we still dont talk :'( good luck though!

If you are outspoken you can just say it. "We've been friends for a long time, but I would like to take it to the next level."
If you on the shy side, send a text message, send an email, or leave a voicemail....

You just tell her. In a moment of weakness and unattractive vulnerability, you tell her.
Then you allow yourself to be crushed when she says something like, "I really dig you... as a friend."
Ive done this more than once. Don't do it. It isn't worth it.
