Did you ever stop to think that maybe it was aliens that put us on this planet to see how we could cope with political and economical and everyday issues that arise?
It may be possible. This could all just be a test!
They put us on this planet to see how we could cope and at the moment we seem to be destroying it with all these wars and big issues.
Why can't all just live quietly and not arouse suspiscion for anything and everything? Nevermind, it's all we know!! Apart from the other things that we know how to do which are kind.
Kindness and Hatred, not a good combination, but for every good side there is a bad side!

Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species. Your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you and neither does your penchant to breed beyond your planet's ability to sustain you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

That would depend on what their perception is. If they can get here with advanced technology that would most certainly be required, most likely they would have an advanced society that would make our system barbaric by comparison.
One problem we have is that we haven't been here on earth very long, and we are still evolving.
So we might not be high on the list of progressive societies just yet.
I really doubt they would be too keen on our systems of governments.

That the Americans are lazy that we are very technologically underdeveloped and that the British drink too much and the continent smoke too much. This is of course assuming that there is such things as aliens.

that would depend on the outlook of the aliens e.g. what level their morals/spirituality were at. hopefully higher than our own!!

i bet they wouldn't stay long. that's why we haven't been over come by them like in Independence day as our planet is in the crapper.
