I love both these bands, but I think Madness have the edge slightly (probably due to their 'weird' sense of humour) on the Jam

You cant compare 2 groups from different genres... That would be like me comparing slipknot with bob dylan or the who! You just cant do it, if you want to compare groups try madness and the specials, both ska. Or the Jam and the kinks both mod, but at least get your genres right.

Like 'em both very much but The Jam win it for me. Both bands bring back lots of happy memories from school discos...ah those were the days...

Madness are good, but there's no comparison with The Jam - one of the best English pop bands ever. "Strange Town", "Down In The Tube Station", "When You're Young", "Eton Rifles" etc etc.
