Am careful to only build bridges that will be stable and once a bridge is built I will not burn it. Life is too short.
You need not go back to the proverbial bridge, but never burn it. Who knows, maybe out of necessity you may have to cross it again in your life....

I build bridges, and then I build a fence around my bridge, and only I can open the gate to allow you in.

I have been building both really. I think any healthy person needs a little of both. I want to set my boundaries as values I live by. And I want to keep my life open by having bridges with no tolls to pay for who you are.

Forgive my ignorance, but I do not understand. Just to be goofy, I will say neither. I couldn't build anything if my life depended on it. My idea of a power tool is a big pair of scissors.
