Volcanoes only occur where the earth's crust is weak because of underground movement between tectonic plates, along fault lines.
Hence they are found in strings such as along the Pacific coast of the Americas. Brazil, being on the east, Atlantic side of South America, is away from this.

Brazil is bang slap in the middle of the South American Plate - a section of the earth's crust that extends from the continental shelf off western South America, to the mid-Atlantic Trench halfway between S.America and Africa, and which just grazes Venezuela in the North. Volcanoes would only be formed near the edges of the crust plates, not in the middle.
That isn't to say there aren't prehistoric extinct volcanoes there, but its unlikely.

Volcanoes form where the tectonic plates meet or seperate. Since Brazil is not located on this type of surface, there are no volcanoes.

As far as I know, Brazil is not situated on any tectonic plates and you need those to enable a volcano to be created. I am probably wrong but I hope you find your answer as I would also like to know. lol

I had no idea there wasn't any, but if not probably because the earth's crust is much thicker there.
Volcanos appear where the earth's crust is thinner and the pressure from the magna below forces it's way to the surface. I'm no expert, not even close but I hope that helps a little.

Because there are no fault lines separating a continental shelf in Brazil.
