Its not your motherboard you twit lol its Windows, it wont recognise more than 127GB until you install the program that came with your hard drive, if you cant find it go to the manufacturers website and get it from there.

There may be many reasons for this problem. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

if you used the maxtor installation disk it asked you the partion size and said some controllers only reconize up to 127 but you can partion it to 250 unless the bios wont reconize it

actually, a virus/ parasite or warm mite have eatin it. or u unproperly shut down ur comp and it eraced some memory. its there, but ur memory doesnt recognize it anymore. also, a warm or something could just be hiding it from u. try "advast! antivirus" find one online thats a free download it catches stuff on my computer all the time. helps alot!

older boards doesnt recognize HDDs more than 127 GB capacity. YOU definitely need BIOS UPDATE!
