Okay, I've been stuck in this one spot on Zelda 64. I'm in the underwater cavern and I was following the walk through that I got off Gamefaqs.com...except I pulled a block and it sunk into the ground and the water level rose and I believe that either I didn't follow the directions right, or the walk through was screwed up, and I need the water level to go back down, because as it is I'm just swimming around and can't get any further. So now I've been stuck in this one spot for a year...YES, A YEAR! Stop laughing!
Am I totally screwed and need to start the whole game over, or can I just start the level over somehow?

To get to the place where you can lower the water level, enter the temple, and go to the base of the central tower (with iron boots.) Turn right, and head for the hallway you see. Go through the hallway, into the room. Float up, and you'll come out at one of the triforce pictures. You can lower the water level there.
Alternatively, if you're later on in the temple than that, there is a place to climb out of the water in the room I am thinking of. Swim to the top, and towards the place that looks like it might let you out. Link will climb up.

There are several switches in the level, the higher the elevation of the switch, the higher the water will rise, look around at the very bottom of the level with the Water Tunic and Iron Boots equipped, and hit the switch, I don't remember where it is exactly though.
