Rails and electricity production are the only two I can think of. I think all the countries with a national airline (i.e. Lufthansa - Germany, KLM - Netherlands, etc.) are also somehow tied in with government subsidies ... or at least were for a time after 9/11. Not sure about now.

Due to EU legislation there is none. No industry is run solely by a government. The one exception maybe power in France. Also, an industry taken over by a government would be grossly immoral and would only be condoned to save the jobs of that sector and only in extreme cirumstances.

Energy production/power plants in many nations. Transportation systems also (railroads, busses, etc.)
