Without rules there would be chaos.
Rules are normally made because there was a problem in a previous situation, where there wasn't any rule for it yet.
Because of the many people in this world, and the many problems, man tried to put everything into rules to create a moral society... Rules however need sometimes to be flexible, and some rules are more flexible than others...
We don't live in a sterile society yet. This we will get if we can't choose anything for ourselves anymore: no free will in choosing your partner, your studies, your job, your home, your hobbies, etc. If everyone is alike. Thats sterile existence...

If you had no rules you would not know what to do.moral rules legal rules game rules.etc life is rules one after another.so do you best with the ones you like and avoid the others.
