Most beauty programs are 9 months to 12 months long, and costs vary according to your location and the particular school you attend. I've heard of some as inexpensive as $2000 for the program, and some as expensive as $30,000. Remember, however, to look for credentials and accreditation to make sure the establishment is reputable. Ask for a list of people you can contact who have graduated from the program, a list of instructors, and a copy of their curriculum. Many times, you only get what you pay for, or in this case, learn what you pay for - cheap schools sometimes = only basic education (ie, advanced cut, color, and style techniques may have to be learned on your own anyway). Good luck!

most schools are a 9-12 month program. some are 6 days a week. as far as costs they range from 5-15k. but as with most things the more expensive ones are usually better! also i would choose one that is certified by a product company (ie. aveda).

It depends on where you live and what beauty school you want to go to.
