What if we put a 200 yard warning by the mexican border that says if you cross this you will be shot because you are considered an intruder. Wouldn't this make less people attempt to cross the border? I mean i don't want a nucular bomb being smuggled in and i think that this would be the most effective way of handling things. I mean there was a recent survey about how may drugs come from mexico. They said that nearly all marijuana comes from mexico and almost 90% of cocaine and 60% of cocaine! That is outragous. I think if we put the 200 yard regulation into act.. I think that it would make the US a whole lot safer.

200 yards is absolutely nothing. 99% of the illegals will not see that sign. It is unethical, according to many people, to shoot the trespassers. So what you are proposing will never happen, sorry!

Now that is a lovely thought for a Sunday morning! Just shoot 'em, eh?

Hmmm... there would be no drugs crossing your borders if there were not a huge market there. As an American surely you are not against a little exploitive capitalism? I don't think your stats are correct anyway regardless of what you meant about the percentages.

Some of the paranoia your dictator is perping on you in order to increase his and his homeland security arm's power might be alleviated by trying to get a better perspective on the real world. Access some international news and commentary to see just how censored and biased your information is.

LOL weapons of mass destruction crossing the border. They don't need to be in the country to be used. Long range delivery is the point of nuclear weapons. Even Reagan's defence fantasy took that into consideration.

I'm fairly certain that most of the people who cross the border illegally know they are breaking the law. They know they are intruders. This hasn't stopped anybody in the past.

And I don't think it's a good idea to go around shooting everybody who crosses illegally. Do you really think it would be a good idea to shoot little boys and girls? Or elderly folks? What about pregnant women? Or infants being carried across by parents? Do we shoot the infants too? Just not a good idea.

Additionally, the border is HUGE and we'd need thousands of soldiers patrolling 24/7/365 to monitor the entire thing.

Is it 90% or 60% ? If you really want to keep things and people from crossing the boarder put up a wall and have armed guards at it like Berlin had. Theirs seemed to work pretty good for a few years.

It would only work if it was enforced. If people actually did get shot, they'd stop.
