not many concerning the answers here....
but, i saw an American couple having a road accident in South Africa 2 hours after landing, as the driver turned into the incoming traffic when turning right.....
so thing about it

It is easy. You do not need any special driving skills; all you have to do is to remember that the double solid "Do NOT CROSS" line is on your left and the opposing traffic is on the other side of that lane. Chances are that the traffic is so busy in all of those countries that within the first two minutes, all you have to do is to follow the people in front of you. I flew into Miami International Airport and rented a car. As soon as I left the parking lot I got a wake-up call. Don't panic unnecessarily. You will adapt.

To me I have no fear in this case.You must know the characteristic of the car.And rules apply to the country that you are driving.As long as you have an international driving license.You will be adapted to it very soon.

I don't think it needs formal training. I picked it up in England as soon as I got onto the access roads near Heathrow with a rental car.

being a canadian who has lived in new zealand,australia and the uk i can say its not that big of deal...the first time i drove in those countries i kept chanting 'left left left' and it became second nature..not the chanting..the driving that is

it would be rather weird but I don't think it would require any special learning.
