Hiya Jasmine
i have some 3/4 Length trousers but they are brown+cream, and i got the most lovely boots from shoe-zone and the colour of them are dark brown and they are beautiful with my trousers, and by the way i'm 42 age do make a difference girl. Oh yes and the boots were only £20. Go on live a little. I also think that your black boots would be nice to as black goes with almost anything.

Do not wear long boots with three quarter length trousres trust me you will look a pratt and that has nothing to do with age. Those little ankle boots are going to make you look like a fashion victim. I'm not being mean they make teenagers look like fashion victims too but they get away with it. What I would wear is a nice pair of shoes with a high heel, not plain ones but Dolly ones with a strap accross if you know what I mean or a closed in sandel type shoe, a pair of slingbacks would look good as well and if they're brown trousers wear brown shoes or match in with the top you're wearing but don't wear black. Best thing take the trousers out with you and when you try on the shoes try on the trousers as well - means you'll have to buy from shops that sell clothes as well so you can use the fitting rooms unless you wanna strip off in front of everyone. Clarks are good though I agree with that.

Flat shoes with 3/4 trowsers can make you look very short and dont make the most of your calfs. I have a grey pair myself that go well with my black knee high boots with a rounded toe and but I know what you mean they don't go with my brown 3/4 unless I wear a black topI usually wear wear my pair of brown swede shoes I bought from Dorothy Perkins with I dont know what they are called, a heel that goes all the way down your shoes if you know what, I mean not a pointy heal and some detailed tights or I have a pair of Brown knee high boots but they don't seem to go at all, try dark brown Boots rather than lighter. Dont wear dolly shoes or flatties!!
I hope this helps x

Flat sandals look good with 3/4 length trousers, and calf length boots.

Why not try a flat ballerina style shoe with them, like in a bronze metallic colour or a tanned brown.

The fashion is what u think would look good and what u have seen plp are wearing and what they like on u. My mom is 40 as well and she likes to get ones that are long. At first i thought they werent so attracting but then i relized she looked good!

Maybe a pair of brown shoe boots that have just come out. they would look really good instead of shoes or long boots.
