I'm a 25 yr old mother of 3, I had my tubes tied after my last child which was 2 1/2 yrs. ago. Ever since I've had extremely painful first days of my period, yesterday was no exception. The pain subsided as the day wore on, but twice in the middle of the night and early this morning, when I woke to use the restroom, I had a liquidy discharge (similar to my water breaking) and then when the flow stopped (10-20 seconds) and I urinated , both times I passed an abnormally big clot. Anyone know what may cause this or has anyone had similar issues?

I would go see your doc for a check-up, it would be difficult to diagnose otherwise.

clots are totally normal. they happen when your sleeping becuase the blood has a harder time flowing downwards so it dries out a little and clots. just because you have a big clot doesn't mean that something is wrong.
