For Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu, Internet Options, click on the Content tab, click on AutoComplete and press Clear Forms.

Click on TOOLS, then Internet Options.
It'll be a little different from there depending on whether you have IE6 or the "new and improved" IE7. Take a look at the various options and I'm sure you'll see what you need to take care of.

If you happen to use Yahoo and have the Yahoo toolbar, click the Yahoo toolbar pencil icon and select "clear recent searches".

For `IE' Tools>Internet Options>Clear History
(close and open browser to see the changes)

For `Firefox' Tools>Options>Privacy>Highlight the `History' tag and then click>Clear browsing history now
(close and open browser to see the changes)
