It doesn't have a screen.
The only problem with an ipod shuffle is that it shuffles songs so you will have to keep pushing the forward button just to hear a song you want to hear. It can be very annoying because you have no idea where the song you want is and it shuffles your song every time you turn the shuffle on.

The iPod Shuffle is way cool. No, it doesn't have a screen. It plays your songs in random order (it Shuffles them), but if you don't want to hear a song, you can just skip to the next one.
The Shuffle is the same size and weight as flash drive. Because it doesn't have a glass screen, it's much more likely to survive being dropped or bounced around. It's a good iPod for jogging or taking to the gym.

The new generation of the iPod shuffle is sure intresting. With the compact snap on design, it surely will be great as well as affordable. I had the old one, and enjoyed using it for long runs because you don't have to worry about changing the song, etc.

dont buy it! my sister has the 512 shuffle and it worked fine for a few months but then one day she put it in her pc and it would not recognize the shuffle. they battery was not charging even after letting it charge for 2 days and it would just keep blinking. when she went on the website to talk to the Apple people, they said she needed to pay in order to get service. they also said that her 9 month warrenty had expired even though she only had it for 2-3 months. so i would suggest against it and get another brand like scandisk or even RCA.

Other manufactures make 1 gig MP3 players for a lot less money. Also, other players give you more control over how your music or whatever is played. I have a Sansa Sandisk and I really like it. However, if you are looking for accessories like cases and applicances to play it around you house and in your car, iPod has more of those things than other brands.

get an mp3 with a screen its cheaper to get shuufle

no screen... you're right...look at sandisk or rca...they are priced comparably
