Liberal celebrities don't get it. They are insulated from wherever they came from. I think many didn't finish college and are fed information by their handlers.
You have to speak in the limelight, stay in the public eye on magazine covers, in order to maintain popularity. Stifling the opposition's free speech justifies their activities. The job behooves them to stay afloat.
The culture in Hollywood is founded upon popularity, good looks, and with whom you associate. Like high school. The reigning majority have the capacity to think like noodles.
For example, Brad Pitt seems to be trying to keep up with Jolie. He's pushing an expensive, ecofriendly building system in New Orleans, with a nod from Ray Nagin.
Those displaced people need houses now. Fancy, imported, glued together wood parts can't be built fast enough on backorder. Do they have a huge flock of trained technicians to assemble these systems? Humble wood is most accessible.
What is he thinking? Is he? Is it for his own gain? Did he donate these systems? Who can afford them? He's just a good looking guy who made it in Hollywood. A hottie.

I would guess that because they are now wealthy and perceived as being successful, whether through hard work or a lucky break, and have all their wants and needs satisfied, whether through them actually buying it or being presented "gifts", in order to avert the focus from their own personal lives they have chosen to advocate a shared wealth with "working class people" without giving up their own to be perceived as being a "good" person.
Ironic that some would support a group that claims to be for the "working and middle class" but be richer than any 5 families combined.
There are some that do charity work with the sincere hopes of helping others, however, most of those who do, you will never hear about or see on TV, preferring to be behind the scenes.
Personally, I feel if a celebrity supports a charity or a political party and can do so quietly and without recognition, they deserve twice the respect I would give the run-in-the-mill cheerleaders out thumping their chest claiming to be a "champion" of whatever "cause".
Image is important to celebrities- it's all some of them have.

First Poster: reported. Political help between the prosperous is actual tremendously calmly chop up. there is in easy terms a pair of misperceptions floating around. Which one, if any, you carry count on who you hear to. Liberals can help be responsive to all prosperous human beings are grasping and help Republicans becuase Republicans are grasping. Its in easy terms a political message designed to get you to purchase into larger taxes. on the different hand, Republicans get the impact that many of the prosperous help Democrats because of the fact people who do are extra vocal approximately it. they're extra in demand and place themselves on midsection degree while they do it. Soros and Warner are applicable examples. you in addition to mght get into the subject of actually prosperous human beings contributing to the two political events. the two individually or by way of a organisation. As for Hollywood, the guy that reported A-checklist celebrities are Republican is merely flat out incorrect. this is the single group of prosperous that are particularly and vastly liberal. no longer all of them, there are some exceptions. yet by way of a techniques maximum of them.

Generally celebrities are artists. Whether it be acting, singing , or whatever. It is in there nature and a tool to view the world with and to think with their hearts. This helps them contribute to their craft whatever it may be. Thia is also the difference between a Conservative and a liberal. While liberals generally think with their hearts, Conservatives generally think with their minds. Meanwhile a Moderate uses a combination of both.

I agree with martino, I think its just in fashion within their social structure.
They have a bully pulpit because of their exposure so youll always hear their opinion if the choose to voice it. They think government can solve all the problems that they themselves dont even understand. They feel that if you throw money at something it will be fixed.

I don't know if that's true. I mean Mel Gibson is a great example of a Conservative Republican.

because it's popular to do so.
Hollywood frowns upon conservatives. Being a celebrity who is a conservative, would get them blacklisted.
Telling people how much you care about the hugry children in dufar and telling the government to give money to the poor, is very popular for people living in 200 million dollar mansions.
