Technically, the MPIO MP3 players are not bad. They're durable, they have relatively decent sound quality and they're relatively easy to use. I've had a lot of trouble in the past with their software and their customer service though.

I had bought 2 MPIO MP3 players - one for me, one for my brother - and we found that the software was awful, not very user friendly and frequently corrupted all the data in the player.

After battling with it for ahile, we gave up and contacted MPIO for a repair under warranty (as we considered it defective). We contacted Customer Service and it took them several weeks before we got any sort of action from them. It took them several weeks more before they did any sort of repairs and mailed them back... just to have exactly the same problems.

This is my own personal story with MPIO and things may or may not have changed since it happened.

From my experience, my friends and I have had nothing but good experiences with Creative MP3 players.
