6HNO3(aq) + Al2(CO3)3(aq) --> 2Al(NO3)3(aq) + 3CO2(g) + 3H2O(l)

What do you mean by that "what is the word equation"? Chemical equation tells you how one reaction occurs. Equation means that you have to have exactly the same elements (and same quantities) on the left and the right side of the arrow.
For example, there are 27 oxygen atoms on the left side and on the right side. And for all of the others situation is the same.

Nitric acid + aluminum carbonate --> aluminum nitrate + carbon dioxide + water

your word equation is right, but i'm trying to figure out the equation itself.

the big thing is that you have an acid mixing with a salt, i'm not sure what happens in that case.
