Aside from standars vaccines you should have travelling anywhere, nothing special. Forget about Malaria profilactics - just be careful about mosquitos. THe preventitive medicine causes more damage than actually getting malaria and treating it on a timely basis.

Just make sure all of your vaccines are up to date. My family always takes Malaria pills with them, just in case. Insect repellant is a must!! And depending on where you're staying a mosquito net might be a good idea. You will definitely find Palawan fascinating! Have a great time. I will be going in January

I think flu vaccine would be appropriate since the weather is pretty tricky recently. Malaria or Dengue vaccine (if there is one) would also be helpful. If there's none, bringing a mosquito repellant would do. I guess it would really depend on what kind of sickness you are afraid of but generally speaking, you won't need any aside from the basics. The Philippines is not a virus infested country.

a vaccine against hepatitis a and b would be very helpful to make sure you are protected. use mosquito repelants because there are a lot of dengue fever cases in philippines.
always drink bottled mineral water to avoid any stomach upset.

i think you don't need vaccines, its bird flu free, just bring an insect repellant and you'll be fine.
