While most of the answer you will get from Bush supporters will be some variation of "stay the course" and/or "democrats won't do anything about security", neither of those answers work.
Just as nothing about the current administrations policies has been working.
Hopefully, what the Democrats will do is concentrate on actually protecting America, rather than colonizing oil-rich countries and attempting hegemony around the globe.
Having just 1/2 of those troops back home and assigned specifically to national security on our own soil would
a. serve as a huge deterrence to terrorists
b. keep more of our fellow countrymen/women alive.
c. save us hundreds of billions of dollars over the enormous expenditures projected by the White House itself.

The democrats have very few ideas that will improve national security, save one. Getting out of Iraq immediately will save American lives and money. There is no more good we can do there. If we left Iraq yesterday , there would be a civil war. If we leave in a year or two years, there will be a civil war. There is no avoiding it or saving it.

Green energy should be our focus for the future. Of course quitting oil cold turkey would not be a good idea. Car companies need to start embracing electricity, hydrogen and even alternate fuels so we can become independent by 2025.

Please my conservative counterparts, lets not forgot that this Iraq war has only made security worse for our nation. The Democrats would do much to improve our national security. First they will send more troops to Afghanistan and capture the source of terrorism. Then they will put a well planned process to secure Iraq and levitate the Iraqis effort to strengthen Democracy.

It would be unfair to say Democrats are unpatriotic, so I wont go there. I personally believe they value the safety of all American as do the Conservatives. So the question I assume is what would they do different then the current Adm. well for one they will probably end most of the patriot act, probably redeploy our troops, other than that I honestly don't know. I have been listening for their plan to deal with the mess were in, in several areas but I am still not clear. I know Bush has from many view made some major mistakes, and too be fair the war on terror in unlike any other war we have engaged in thus far. I can only hope if the democrats regain the white house they will use the lessons learned and not repeat history.

You know sense the attack I have seen more and more restriction's and more and more police and camera's every where! It really pis*'es me off and it should you too. I didn't fly a jet into the twin tower's or try to blow them up so why should I have to pay the price for something someone else has done? This is not a democracy if we are not free and I sure as hell don't feel very free anymore! There are so many problem's in this country and to name a few are big business ruining our government, lobbyist's buying our vote's in Washington D.C. and our local government's, our court's are out of control, marriage is ruined, people just hate each other so much anymore it's just terrible and if you think a government is going to help us your barking up the wrong tree!!!

One thing that we can do is to hand over control of Iraq to Iraqi forces, re-deploy the money and manpower that we are currently wasting in Iraq to hunt down and eliminate terrorists in Pakistan, Africa, Afganistan, Iraq, within the USA and wherever else they are needed, as things stand right now we are focusing all of our efforts on just one small area and ignoring all others. There are also many other things that we can do such as install radiological detectors in all US ports etc.. but I am not going to go into detail about them, because let's face it, you are going to ignore everything I say here anyway...
