I have just done a best of 3 coin toss for a wireless router with my soon to be ex-housemate. I let her call, let the coin fall to the ground rather than palm it. She loss the toss. But now she is saying I lied because she did'nt see whether it was heads or tails because she could'nt be bothered to get off the sofa to look.

Why doesn't one of you just fork over half the cost of the router?

Or choose another item that you two both own. One of you gets the router. The other one gets the other item (which should be of roughly equal value).

Why not let her have the old router and choose something else that you really like? That way you get something else without an argument and you're the one who gets a newer, better router from the store.

Things are just things. Get it settled quickly and move on ... and away from this lazy chick.

Seem to be underlying trust issues here. Probably a good thing the two of you are splitting. I vote the router goes with you.

Now a word of advice, and please take this as encouragement, not as criticism. (I'm not that much into criticism or judgment.) What you write sounds like it is coming from a young but intelligent, responsible man. Just watch where you are putting your apostrophes. The " ' " goes between the "n" and the "t" because it is short for "did not" and "could not" and it is the letter "o" being replaced not the empty space. I know. I know. It's kind of like the difference between "good table manners" and "good behavior." But see, you sound so intelligent otherwise, why not go all the way?

Disclaimer: Stephen (I've always loved that name, even named my son "Stephen"), I wouldn't have made those last comments except that you asked how you're doing so far. Remember?

P.S.-I'm relieved you've decided to stick around, even if it is just to improve your spelling. lol
