When a criminal (or potential criminal) does not know who might be armed and who is not, it is probably the most direct deterrent to crime.

Conservatives have long touted their fidelity to Christian principles, but seldom live by it. They can preoccupy themselves with trivial Biblical precepts concerning sexuality, but practically gloss over the thrust of Jesus’ message of magnanimity, unconditional love, and pacifism. Their ability to selectively choose what they want to believe allows them to enter a church with a gun, and see no contradiction between their action and the system of belief that their church is supposed to embody.
Such a law will never benefit a society, especially the spiritual integrity of such a society. The impetus to carry a gun is born out of fear, vengefulness and politics. These vices should have no place in a house of God. If you fear the houses of God to be haven for criminal activity and violence, ratchet up security in and around these houses of worship. Don’t turn places of spiritual sustenance and refuge into places resembling the old west were everyone is a vigilante. After all, it was Jesus who told Peter to put the dagger down when people came to execute him. Would he really approve of people bringing guns into places where he is the center of attention? I wonder if this is a question that “conservative Christians” ever bother asking themselves. Maybe it is too much to ask.

No. particularly no longer on your belongings. the floor belongs to the U. S., regardless of in case you think of you very own it. till you're able to win some style of soverienty and actually no longer have your land aside of united statesa. to any extent further. Why might you're able to desire to hide a weapon on your person homestead besides? it extremely is the hid area it extremely is illegitimate. in case you have a weapon on you it extremely is obviously seen, that's felony. in case you carry a weapon, seen on your backyard, your associates can declare they felt threated via the weapon and make contact with the police. They, in turn can take you to penitentiary for no longer having a license to hold a weapon. while you're fortunate, you ought to get off with a warning. If the weapon is hid, yet somebody notices it someway, the issue is much greater severe to the police.

You can get mugged or attacked going to or leaving church as well as anywhere else.I don't understand why we should have any restrictions on gun ownership or how and when we carry them.
An armed populace is much less likely to be preyed upon by criminals or government.

My personal opinion is that when more responsible people are armed we are generally safer as a society. Sad but, I think, true. Church should be a place of worship, but there have been examples of violence and hostage taking in church which might have been prevented by a responsible citizen who was armed at the time.

It IS said that 'an armed society is a polite society'...and in these interesting times we live in, sometimes it's also wise to acknowledge another old saying...'better safe than sorry'...you may not like guns, but they have largely become a fact of life these days...

in case the liberals try to take them all to re-education camps like they do in china, china is where you go when you follow all the liberals policies to their ends.
Maybe they saw all the reports of muslims storming churches throughout africa and south asia, killing them. thankfully, we have the 2nd Amendment here in the US.
