I work in a reservation center, when calling please remember the following:
1) Do not yell, call names or act bitchy or rude because we will not help you. Being nice pays off big time..
2) Do not call if you are in the hotel parking lot, when you can walk in and make a reservation at the front desk..
3) If you have a confirmation number do not call to confirm your reservation, because they do not disappear...
4) Do not call and say you are in a hurry because remember if you were really in a hurry you would not be calling...
5) Do not call and say you are online looking at the hotel because why are you calling when you can make it in online?
6) If you are calling a 1-800 number, do not ask surprised, annoyed if you are asked the city. because remember you are calling a 1-800 number..
7) Do not call to cancel an advance purchase and expect to get a refund, it will not happen..
8) Do not call without a credit card...

I would have to disagree with number 5. I have encountered guests looking at online rates and called to make a booking because they dont want to put their credit card number on the net, they rather do it tru phone for security reasons.

Sounds like someone don't like their job....

How about, I am tech support for a tv satellite company. Don't call ME names cuz your crap don't work. I didn't do it. Don't call & ask me for free stuff either cuz it isn't going to happen. Don't break something yourself & then yell at me cuz I can't fix it over the phone & DONT then ask for a free service call. YOU broke it.
