If you believe this then you have never taken even a basic course in sex education. Human sperm can't live outside certain conditions and any amount of chlorine will kill it.
And this type of myth has been around for decades due to simple lack of education and stupid teenagers trying to scare each other with bad urban myths.

NO, it is generally accepted that the fluids responsible for making a female pregnant cannot survive in the water of swimming pools. however standard sex in most any environment can possibly lead to pregnancy.

It must be a myth. Sperm do not survive for more than a few seconds outside of the warm and pH-adjusted environs of a man's or woman's sex organs.

I've never heard that one. Though I did hear from a friend in a neighboring town, that the tap water there makes women more fertile. ;)
