When I was pregnant I had problems with my backpain and my sciatic nerve. It sounds very similiar to what your explaining. My midwife suggested warm showers/warm towel compresses and some kind of belly support belt thing. I only tried the first 2 solutions above and it seemed to work ok. Even now I have sciatic nerve problems sometimes.

unfortunately its another one of the delights about being pregnant. With my first daughter I had no back pain at all. This time im 22weeks and I cant hoover or sleep on my back because it hurts so much. (its one way to get someone else to do the housework..) I find a nice warm bath helps, that is until I have to try and get out of it.
Good luck.xx

backpain is very common during pregnancy. Most all women experience it. the body is out under alot of stress and pressure during that time. If it gets too severe you should contact your doctor. It could be signs of premature labor.

I had that too, I asked my doc. and he said it was cause your bones(pelvic) is shifting, so that the baby can move through the birthing canal, when due. This process can really hurt. But if the pain lasts longer then a week or if its too intense then I would suggest you see your doctor.

yes it's normal. some woman may start having it early in the pregnancy. they described it to me at Lamaze class ,that as you & baby grow. so your hips have to expand as well. your hips accually dislocate to a certain extent. so that causes the horrible pain. and it only gets worse, sorry to say. I had it so bad at around 7 mos. and on. I could hardly walk at times.
congrats & good luck to you!

YES! but make sure its lower and not in your midle of your back, if it is then you need to go see the docter because if its the middle of your back you may have a kidney infection and possiably kidney stones

back pain is normal I'm 8 months and at night i cant lie down for long periods of time either and when i try to roll over its very painful in my pelvic area, i spoke to my doc about it and she said its pressure from the baby pushing down sometimes its uncomfortable for me to even walk! if the pain is unbearable i would recommend you see your doctor but most of the time aches and pains are normal

yes, that is very common. as you enter your seventh month and beyond it will be more common and more frequent. your baby is gaining weight and putting more pressure on your lower back and bladder. try propping up with pillows when lying down and sitting. i usually prop one between by legs and one underneath my belly and it is a tremendous help. when sitting i have to put a pillow behind my back.
