Usually most people give bias short or 1 word answers. I always try to aim for 10 points.

And I always give 10 points to people who put some thought into their answers.

Just because you're the first person who responds, doesn't mean it's best answer.

Usually when I win best answers, I don't attack the person who asks the question.

I dont really aim for 10 points because you can never really know what the asker is looking for. I just put down what I think sounds right or helpful. I suppose some people dont want to spend so much time over one answer or maybe even the asker just wants a simple straight forward answer. really all you can do is write what you want and leave it at that. if you get best answer then great and if you dont then the asker was just looking for a different response :D

They don't give detailed answers because they would rather have 2 points, not relizing they could have 10 instead. I don't write like 5 paragraphs pretty much just one, usally thats enough. Question do you give long or short answers? It'd be funny if you gave short answers. Anyways they want to get over and done with the question, not have to keep typing and typing (as I am now). I really hope this helps

I see what you mean. I try to give good answers, cuz often people are looking for good solutions, and one word answers just don't cut it. But then you must think of all the people on here just to kill time, they don't really care about the points,or the help it might give others should they give a helpful answer.

I don't know about the other people, but I answer with an answer as big-- or short-- as I want it to be... I don't usually give 1 word answers... I try to put some thought behind it... :-)

personality, I like concise & witty answer. You don't need a long story to explain something, always try to explain it clearly, concisely & to the point, so that people can get what they want quickly. I personally lose focus if the answer is too long (as in more than 7 sentences).

Some people are under-achievers, who don't aim for 10 points. These people think that a million little worthless answers are better than one well-formed one, which I disagree with.

Sometimes the questions are frivoulous and don't deserve a detailed answer. Sometimes a yes or no is all that is needed. In the homework sections, why should I do someone's work for them? They don't learn anything if someone else does their work for them.

I guess because they want to be the first answer and the best answer before someone else...I'm not sure. I guess because it takes longer and theres a lot more people who have questions...?

I always write a detailed answer unless the asker specifically asks for a yes or no answer.
