It is very simple, to detonate an hydrogen bomb you need an atomic bomb, and you need hydrogen with the energy released by the A bomb, four nucleus of hydrogen form a nucleus of helium heavier than hydrogen nucleus, but the amount of energy liberated in this process (nuclear fusion) is very huge.
Be careful don!t try to do in your house.

It took me less than 30 seconds with the Y! search engine to get over 100,000 sites on the web that have information on how hydrogen (also called 'fusion') bombs work.

So...... Get busy and start wading through them ☺

hydrogen bomb works on the principal of nuclear fusion reaction .
In this type of reaction 2 light nuleas combine to form a heavy nucleas and a neutron and enormous amount of energy is released.
hope this will help you.
