I liked both. Armageddon is possibly only popular for the star content...Deep Impact FAR MORE ORIGINAL.

Popular is not always better!

I vote for Deep Impact!

Deep impact was a bit more political and realistic. Armagarmer was a bit more heroic and macho. Bruce Willis is CAF and the Aerosmith track "don't want to miss a thing" is berrrrrlinding.

Armageddon just goes a bit pete tong when they land on the asteroid otherwise it would have been the choice for your very good question.

The thought of being drowned to buggery by a tidal wave the size of the twin towers is daunting, and Morgan Freeman plays the president of the USA better than the real one IMHO.

Houston - I think we have a winner.

Deep impact was the better story

but Armageddon didn't take itself to seriously, check out the godzilla bit when the first meteors fell, this was the year when godzilla was out and a cheeky sideswipe was sent.

So I go Armageddon but can happily spend an evening with either

I think Armageddon is a better quality film. The acting, writing and effects were far superior.

Deep Impact seemed to be more logically feasible; however, the fact of the matter is if I wanted to see something that was scientifically more accurate that had cheesy acting and choppy writing I would watch a movie produced and filmed by the Discovery Channel

Deep Impact, definately in my opinion. If anyone knows any better, we'd probably have more chance of water damage to the population because of how much water is present on the earth.
