I've always questioned, or disagreed with Catholicism, and it had nothing to do with the da Vinci code. There are a lot of religions & question or disagree about not just Catholicism.

I am not catholic, but this book did put a lot of questions in my mind. One thing I did, is get out the bible and start reading it. I have a bible that is written with 4 different versions of the same text, it is interesting to see how one person can interpret something differently than another can. I have discovered things by reading the bible that make interesting and valid points to Jesus and Mary such as the fact that she was at the last supper and she anointed Jesus with very expensive perfume and wiped his feet with her hair. This according to old traditions would have only been done by his wife. Another point of interest is that in all the list of names of the women who traveled with Jesus, Mary of Magdalene is mentioned first (a place of honor) even before Mary the mother of Jesus and the others. I am not saying yet that I agree, however, I am still reading and learning more.
One more thing, if you read all the different versions from the older days before King James and the NIV, you will see that "the chosen ones" actually does refer to the Jewish people. Hope I did not offend anyone, this is just my opinion.

I question few things in Catholicism but that's nothing to do with da Vinci code, the book just can't be taken seriously.

No. The Da Vinci Code makes me question people who think The Da Vinci Code is anything other than a piece of crap. It has people running around with guns for crying out loud!

Probably the most over rated and worst read of all time; still havn't got to the end of it, couldn't finish reading such a badly written book and have twice fallen asleep while trying to watch it on DVD, what a load of rubbish

Hopefully, the older/wiser viewers 'answered' these types of questions in their lives, long before this book/movie was written/created/released. . .

I'm just pleased to see that someone/somewhere is creating an acceptable way for the younger folks to safely begin to even consider 'questioning' any of their 'programmed' beliefs. . .

I won't be around long enuf to see the 'results' of the new generations' freedom of thawt - but, it's definitely about time to see and experience what we began in the 60's. . .

It certainly put the Christian religion in a different light. If the Catholic Church didn't believe there was any truth in it, why did they try to ban the film from being shown in Italy??

Catholisism makes me question catholisism. The Da Vinci book is fiction and everyone knows it. The bible is fiction and people kill for it... go figure..
