The 1914-D Barber quarter has a mintage of 3,046,000, so it is not scarce or rare except in high grades, of course all Barber coinage is scarce to rare in high grades. Unless a coin is extremely rare the grade fair, is usually a non collectible grade. If it has at least full rims or close to it and the date and legends can be read, except for the word liberty, then it is at least a grade of good. In that case it sells for about $5.00-$6.00. This is retail so expect to get less from a dealer say at least 40% less.
