Loosing your virginity means that you have had sex with someone else, a lot of people say sex is when a penis penetrates a vagina, however of course this is ignoring other forms of sex such as oral sex or anal sex, how women have sex and how homosexual couples have sex.

It is down to you to determine what you think sex is, but whatever you decide loosing your virginity still means having to have had sex with another person - it has nothing to do with the hymen breaking. The hymen can be broken from tampon use, just as it can be broken by any sort of vaginal penetration, or even from activities like horse riding.

People used to think that if a girls hymen broke it means they are not longer virgins, this is not true, girls can break their hymens from any sort of penetration (such as masturbation or use of internal menstrual options like tampons or menstrual cups) or they can be broken from activities like horse riding. Some girls are also not born with hymens, or at least not full hymens, so hymens being in tact or not is not a good indication of whether or not someone is a virgin or not.

Hun, a broken hymen isnt a way to detect virginity. One is a virgin if she has not had sexual intercourse. The hymen can be broken not only by sexual intercourse,by tampons as you stated or other activities that are not even related to sexual activity.Honestly, some females are born without a hymen,so that isnt a way to tell if she is a virgin or not.In older times, that is the way they used to tell if a woman was a virgin or not,but it isnt accurate at all as there are many activities that have nothing to do with sexual activities that can break a females hymen.Have a good day!

The Hymen is about 3 inches inside of the vagina. So anything that can reach that far in can break the hymen. A tampon, finger, douche. Whatever may have to be inserted or inserted wrong..

A hymen can be broken by using a tampon. It can also be broken by many other things- even sports! But having a broken hymen and not being a virgin are two seperate things. To not be a virgin a man has to have stuck his penis inside the girls vagina.

if you possess a hymen by the GOD's grace and you are really concerned about it for keeping it intact then plz go ahead and protect it if it gives you a sense of pride/confidence/and a feeling of someone special from others; but virginity is not defined by this. even if u lose it widout sexual contact u will still b a virgin.if u hv really protected it then protect it well(if u want to) and may gift it to your husband on your first night as a wedding GIFT; but he shud also be a deserving person.
Tampons if insertd too harshly and deep will break the hymen. why risk it, if u r keen to keep it intact? market is full wid alternatives.

Do not listen to Ghost Tracker, he can't even spell BUY properly, what does he know? Now is this your hymen we are talking about? Because from the illustration by your name, it appears that you are a he, in which case it is just a rhetorical question, as you don't have a hymen. If it is someone female's hymen, it is none of your business!

A girl can NOT lose her virginity to using tampons.

no.
ur virginity has nothing to do with tampons.
thats kinda weird anyway, if you think about it.
sometimes the hymen breaks and it has nothing to do with sexual activity. not that it doesn't sometimes.
but thats not a proper way to see if someone's a virgin anyway.
it could be from athletics or anything like that.
