There really is not a way to tell without DNA testing.

Looks--how do you know that the baby doesn't look like Uncle Joe down the line? My son looks just like my grandfather, and he has been dead for 6 years!

Timeline--if you are questioning paternity, the mother of your child may not be honest with you.

Personality--how young of a kid are we talking about here? Personality won't come out that young, and even when it begins to develop, how do you know that it wouldn't be like his/her mother?

In the end you're going to have to decide which is more important: finding out if you are the biological father or taking the child as your son, regardless of who the biological father may be. You are his/her father, and that's all that matters.

You can't tell if you are the biological father unless you have a DNA test. But being a "Dad" has a different set of criteria. If you love the child, behave as a father... and want to be a Dad, then thats all you and your child need.

if you have to ask this question then there is something wrong with your relationship. Sorry you probably already know that one. The only advice i can give you is if you are that unsure then get the DNA test before you fall in love with the child. If it is to late and you already love the child then you should not want to know for your sake and the child.

first i would i ask you why you think that your child ant your child, then i would say the best way to find out is a d.n.a test but you dont want a test so i would take 1 long look in the mirror then take 1 long look at your child and if you dont think you look like the child (not even a little bit) i would tell you to take a D.N.A test and good look.

Unless they are the spitting image of you - you don,t.
If there is any reason you don't trust your partner a DNA
test is very easy and quite cheap approx £400. Just remember
it takes more to being a father than just being there at the moment of conception. A sperm donor is a very different thing to being a dad.

it depends on your definition of dad
if your are looking for biological dad then only the DNA test
but if you love the child and raise him like your own then you are his dad
like ppl say
"blood is thicker than water but love is thicker than blood"

you don't. if there was another way people wouldn't spend half their life on the jerry springer show, oprah, trisha etc getting these tests done.

if you are with the childs mum and are happy with her and you love the child should it matter tooo much. actually i have just read this last part i have written and its sh*t. of course it matters. at the end of the day trust is everything.
