I need info on the Sims cause I'm new to playing the game and I have a question. If you have Sims Deluxe and Sims Unleashed, can you buy Sims2? Or do you need the rest of the Sims1 expansion packs completed before buying Sims2? Once you have Sims2 can you buy Sims2Pets? Do you need Sims2 to play Sims2Pets? Thanks so much I really appreciate if you answer my questions!

The Sims 2 is a totally different game, it isn't a expansion pack for sims 1, but it's lots of fun

The Sims and The Sims 2 are based on the same concept but two totally different games. As with the original Sims in order to play any of The Sim 2 expansion packs (that includes The Sims 2 Pets) you must first install The Sims 2. This game will be backed up in a EA Games folder where the original Sims are in a Maxis folder. Hope this helps.

You don't need all of Sims to buy Sims 2. However, you do need Sims 2 to play expansion packs.

Hey I love sims 2 that was the first one I got ,and you dont need any other sims to play sims 2 so go right ahead it would be bogus if you had to have everyone thats a ton.Bye

You do need Sims 2 to use Sims 2 Pets, for PC anyway. Don't know about PS2.
