Because even though we do have some warts, we have one of the highest standards of living in the world, intstitutional racism is illegal and you really CAN start as a ditch digger and end up a millionaire by hard work.

If you compare the racism of the present with what we had a mere generation ago, you'll see that the trend is a good one.

This is a great place to live. Those of you who live here and whine should really take a closer look at the rest of the world. It seems to me that ignorance is a much bigger problem in this country than racism is.

it's cos people outside of America don't really know what really goes on in America.
where are they going to experience American or Australian racism outside Australia or America? besides most of the people who travel outside their community are often open toward other races.
like most of the Americans that travels to Mexico are people who likes Mexico and the people, an average Mexican would have the understanding that all American would be like the ones visiting them, they see the money and all that and decides to move over

One other huge thing is that all develop world portray them selves to the third or developing world as they are the 'dogs bollocks', the people from poor countries think streets in the USA are paved in gold

and the thing with racism is that it takes a bit of time to realise the existence of racism, it's not like some white person says something to a black person and bang it all happened, what people don't realise about racism is that it's a bit like a wound that never heals (It personally took me nearly three years till i had to simply bite my tongue and tell my self that it's true racism is really alive and well in the west) so when ever a person faces even a minor bit of racial abuse it's like being punched on that old emotional wound, it hurts really bad
