No....he's gone way too far to the right.
I believe he may change parties.

Many democrats still consider him one and are voting for him.
Everyone wants our armed forces our of Iraq and cannot stand
Bush but its well known that when our submarine base and
shipyards and factories were in trouble of closing this man fought
and stuck up for the working class time in and time out. Civil
rights have always been a factor with this gentleman, he walked
the walk during the civil rights movement. When push comes to
shove this man will be with the Connecticut people majority.
I do not know of any politician that anyone agrees with 100% on
all issues. I see him winning his senate seat and being welcomed
by all sides. Most people vote for the candidate of their choice and
not party guidelines when they get into the voting booth.

He'll find himself courted by both the Democrats and Republicans. Either party who gets control will be offereing him sweet committee chairs to keep him open to voting with them. The Republicans, if they win, may even offer him a committee of power to keep him Independent.
If the Democrats win he'll probably be offered a powerful chair to keep his vote along Democratic lines. He has said he still considers himself to be a Democrat but I'm sure his party's lack of faith will be repaid.

Assuming he is reelected, I think he will vote most of the time with the Democrats. The loss to the state is any committee appointments he would have held as a Democrat.

It seems like it depends a lot on the issues. He's certainly not one of them when it comes to to figuring out the next steps of the war in Iraq, but on other issues like labor and environment they'll see him as being on their side.
