If we leave Iraq like it is, will the same thing happen to the Iraqi people that happened to the south Vietnamese? Instead of sweatshops, slaughter houses are invented.

It's a sad commentary, but essentially, the anti-war nut jobs in this country knew if we left the South Vietnamese to defend for themselves, it would result in the mass murder and slaughter of thousands of innocent people - in Viet Nam and Cambodia - but they apparently didn't give a rat's *** - out of sight, out of mind.
They also knew that the North Viet Namese wouldn't come knocking at their door sometime in the future - and that's the huge difference that they are failing to comprehend with their recent comparisons of the two wars.
Make no mistake, the Islamic radicals will bring their tactics of murder and maiming innocent men, women and children to our cities - and why not? - if they believe that their tactics are working.
And they won't give a damn what party affiliation the infidels subscribe to when they slit their throats.
Wake up, people, and smell the coffee.

I've never completely bought the Vietnam / Iraq comparison. They're similar in one way. In both cases we failed to learn from history. The French were unable to defeat the N Vietnamese over a period of about 15 years. The British occupied Iraq in the 1920's and faced the same sorts of problems we're facing now.
BTW. Since when does anyone on the right give a damn about the Iraqi's?

Oh, silly man, the Iraqis had slaughterhouses before the war, the only thing that's changed is that now execution is equal opportunity, with the Sunnis getting it just as much as the Kurds and Shiites. Also, they just do it out in the back alleys now rather than dedicated slaughterhouses.
Libs are no doubt incensed that you are calling them libs. I'll bet they're hard at work drafting legislation to make that a hate crime.
You know, Iran sent Bush a big Thank You card for taking their main competition out in the Middle East! Never has a Western power done so much to benefit Iran as the USA has...
You know, if you want to make an inflammatory comment, it is much simpler just to type "peritonitis" or something like that.

The libs of today look back at their hippy parents and admire that the Case-Church Amendment allowed for millions of South Viets to be killed by the communists.
Also, let's not forget that the self-same "peacniks" paved the way for Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge to murder roughly five million Cambodians.

The difference in the two is all about who we are fighting and why. The Vietnamese weren't hell bent to come over here and kill Americans, now were they?
