home pregnancy tests offer a so called 99.9% guarentee of results being correct yet they dont. I took 3 and they said negative and went to my doc to find out if i was 100% pregnant or not and they ended up taking my blood to find the levels of HcG (pregnancy hormone) to see if i was pregnant and turns out i was. so my advice is to go to a doctor and request a blood test be taken

I've had two children and had several negative home tests each time, even when I was 7-10 days late! But a faint positive is a positive. I'd take another or go ahead to the doctor.

I'm not sure what the chances of it being wrong are, but am sure their is a chance its accurate. I took a three dollar test and got the faintest line I'd ever seen in my life. I ended up only being a few weeks pregnant which is why the line was so faint. I suggest following up with your doctor right away.

Home tests are so accurate now. When I called the doctor to confirm I was pregnant, they said that even if it was a very faint line, you are pregnant and they set up and appointment with me for when I would be 8 weeks pregnant. I'm sure that there have been times where it could be wrong, but that barely happens if it does at all. Congrats!

I paid $1 for my pregnancy tests and they were right. I had a faint line the second time I took one, but no matter how faint the line, it means you are pregnant.

~~~No test is 100%,,,,I was pregnant with my son,,I took the "drug store" pregnancy test twice,,,one say yes,,,the other said no, I went to my Dr and that test came up neg. I still for some reason knew I was pregnant. Went to my Dr a week later for an exam and yup,,,,sure enough I was pregnant :) ....So what ever the "store" pregnancy test says either neg or positive,,,always best to get a check up from your Dr.
Your chances are about 50/50. Wait another day and do another test.
You can have false negatives but never a false positive.
